Chris van Rossem

Chris van Rossem has over 11 years of experience defending clients from claims made against them by the government. He has been practicing criminal law exclusively since 2013. He has successfully defended over 1,800 clients (saving an estimated 5,500 years for his clients).

As a criminal defense attorney who has represented clients accused of everything from shoplifting to murder, Chris understands how a criminal accusation, regardless of the severity, can completely turn someone's world upside down. He understands that people accused of crimes often feel they have no voice in the criminal justice system, so he works tirelessly and zealously in order to make sure his clients' voices are heard. He has a reputation for paying attention to detail and finding creative ways to ensure his clients get the best possible outcome in their cases.

Chris is a graduate of The University of Georgia School of Law, where he graduated cum laude and served as the president of the Equal Justice Foundation and as an articles editor for the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law. He is a graduate of the renowned Bill Daniel Trial Advocacy Program.

Chris' dedication to his clients is highlighted by his 2017 award of the CACJ STAR Award, as well as the 2022 Judge Stephen S. Goss Award.

Additionally, he's secured important appellate victories for his clients throughout his career, further demonstrating his commitment to fight for his clients until every option has been exhausted. See Glasper v. State, 364 Ga. App. 608 (2022) and Landers v. State, 355 Ga. App. 69 (2020).
