Another lawyer represented KR at a trial for violating the Sex Offender Registry's “1000 foot law” (in essence, working at a location that was too close to a park). KR was convicted by a jury and sentenced to prison. We came into the case after the conviction and showed that KR's indictment was void (for failing to include an essential element of the offense). KR's conviction was overturned and he was released from jail.
